Emma Keizer (MA) is a research assistant working for Jeroen Kemperman at the NIOD Institute for War, Holocaust and Genocide Studies.
In July 2018, she completed her master’s in International Relations in Historical Perspective at Utrecht University. Between her bachelor’s and master’s degrees, she completed an internship at Museum Bronbeek, which resulted in the book entitled ‘War in Indonesia. Decolonization in the commemorative books of Indonesia veterans’. While working on her master’s, she was also already serving as an intern on this research project at the Royal Netherlands Institute of Southeast Asian and Caribbean Studies (KITLV) After completing her master’s, she spent another three months working as a research assistant to Hans Meijer as part of the project. In addition to being a research assistant at NIOD, Emma is also a project staff member at the Netherlands Institute of Military History (NIMH).
